Top 10 Best Washing Machines UK 2026
Ranked by data across budget, mid-range and premium — with an honest account of what spending more actually gets you.
The best washing machine in the UK on our data is the AEG LFSR7414U6UD at £849 — a WAC Score of 92, with reliability 86. But the more useful finding is that 6 machines tie on 92, and the cheapest of them is the Hisense WF3S9043BB3 at £289 — 2.9 times less for the same score. Price and measured quality have come apart at the top of this market. Below are the ten highest-scoring machines from a pool of 210, grouped by price band.
How we built this list
Every currently available freestanding washing machine we score, ranked on WAC Score, with colour variants of the same model collapsed so one machine cannot occupy several places. Where machines tie we break it on the underlying raw score, then on price. No more than three machines from any one brand appear, so the list shows the market rather than a single manufacturer's range.

Samsung WW11DB8B95GHU1
11kg · 1400rpm · A rated
Nothing below 82 across all four sub-scores, which no other machine here manages, with an 11kg drum and reliability of 85. The balanced choice rather than the specialist one. At £849 you could have the Hisense WF3S1043BW3 for £299 and a higher score — this earns its price on build and consistency, not on our numbers.
Haier HW110-BD14397U1
11kg · 1400rpm · A rated
Efficiency of 91 and value of 85 with an 11kg drum — unusually strong figures at this level. If you want a large, efficient premium machine and the feature set suits you, it delivers. The Hisense WF3S9043BB3 lower down scores two points higher for £710 less, so this is a choice about build rather than score.
